This wiki remains, like the original forum, mainly for historical value. There is a new wiki which, while having less content, is more secure and oriented towards modern Retro implementations.

Copyright and Licensing

The authors of this software dedicate their work to the public domain.

We recognize that many countries around the world do not recognize a direct dedication to the public domain in their copyright laws. For this reason, we also grant unconditional, non-revocable permission to anyone who obtains a copy of this software to use, modify, and to redistribute it without limitation.

About the Public Domain

Public domain works, copies and derivatives, may be used and redistributed in any form, free of legal obligations to any copyright owner. They are completely uncopyrighted and intended for free use.

There are many ways to support public domain software. You can release your own public domain works, endorse and give credit to public domain works you like, and donate time to create and improve public domain works. There are also ways to support projects financially, by donating money or purchasing sponsored goods.

Sadly, as noted in our statement at the start of this page, it is almost impossible to actually place a new work into the public domain. For this reason, we grant an unconditional license giving you full rights to use our work as if it was in the public domain.
